The Anniversary Sale is a highly anticipated annual event held by luxury department store, Nordstrom. The sale typically takes place in July and offers significant discounts on a wide range of products, including clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty items, and home goods for the upcoming season making this a unique opportunity for shoppers to snag deals on items that are usually full price.

 

The Anniversary Sale is exclusive to Nordstrom cardholders and specially invited fashion bloggers/influencers, allowing them to shop the discounted items before the sale is opened to the general public a week or two later.

My role:

Supported Nordstrom's marketing objectives to enhance brand awareness and further drive customer loyalty by developing a marketing strategy for the Anniversary Sale. This included, analyzing customer behaviors from previous years sales, competitor research, digital marketing campaign development, implementing CRM strategies to increase new cardholder accounts and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Nordstrom's visual merchandising required creating attractive and engaging displays to showcase products, enhance the shopping experience, and ultimately drive sales. This included designing window displays, arranging product layouts, incorporating branding elements, utilizing props and lighting, and ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing store environment. The goal is to capture customers attention, communicate the store's brand identity, highlight key products, and create a visually pleasing and inspiring atmosphere that encourages customers to explore and make purchases.

My role:

As a visual merchandiser I contributed to creating an immersive and luxurious shopping environment that aligned with Nordstrom's brand image while enhancing the customer experience. This included window and in-store design and layout, brand and seasonal themes, product presentation and styling and store layout and traffic flow.
